Overnight
Climbs-Longer
climbs with bivouacs or portaledges can be made in North Carolina
and other areas. This can be an excellent training ground for
big walls which require efficient "vertical camping"
techniques.
Group
Programs - CMG will work with your private group to develop a program that meets your stated goals. We often use Climbmax Climbing Center, our sister indoor full service rock climbing facility. By being weatherproof, Climbmax can be the perfect starting place for school, youth, college and corporate programs as we prepare for an outdoor adventure.
(C.M.G. holds a current U.S.F.S. Commercial Use Permit. Group size limits set by Forest Service)
Destination Trips
Choosing a destination can be as easy as closing your eyes and dreaming. Think of exotic lands, interesting people, remote wilderness areas, and alpine peaks. Climbmax Mountain Guides can make your dreams come true.
The Southeast
The Southern Appalachians are the oldest mountains in the world. The variety that is offered in these mountains is unique and travel here is magical. Every season of the year offers a different experience; from winter ice climbs to fall backpacking to year-round rock climbs.
South American Adventures
Plan a trip from seven days to several weeks. We recommend Ecuador as a prime destination, with easy access to snow covered volcanoes and the convenience of a metropolitan city it really can't be beat. Climbs can include moderate to strenuous hikes to elevations well over 3800 meters (___ feet) or glaciated summit bids to the top of Chimborazo, a 6300 meters (___ foot) peak considered the closest place on earth to the sun. Any climb will undoubtedly leave you with lifelong memories.
Where Do You Want To Go?
Our experienced guides are qualified to plan and lead trips to anywhere in the world. So our question to you is, "Where do you want to go?"
About Your Guides
Our guides are as proficient at teaching as they are at climbing. With years of combined experience and facilitation any one of our CMG guides will work with you to impart valuable skills each and every time. Each guide has received rigorous training and all receive continual education.
