Climbmax at SMAC offers regular yoga classes led by talented and accommodating instructors. Class sizes are limited and registering for classes in advance is recommended.
YOGA WITH NATHAN
Nathan “Greenleaf” Prentice is a passionate movement anthropologist with over fourteen years of diverse practice and coaching experience. They have explored modalities from martial arts to parkour and from climbing to yoga: a journey marked by lessons in how to make these complex disciplines more simple. Most importantly they have been learning how to be at peace as they are, rather than striving for some arbitrarily defined perfection. Yoga for Climbers with Nathan builds on this idea; through checking-in with ourselves we will learn how a unified breath, mind and body bring us peace on the mat or on the wall. Nathan is driven by a grounded sense of mindfulness and enthusiasm for movement arts that they strive to share every day.
YOGA WITH IZZY
Izzy began practicing yoga after a prolonged foot injury forced her to take a break from her professional training as a Contemporary Ballet dancer. Using yoga as an education on emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness, she was able to recover from her injury and pursued her RYT certification through Yoga Oasis under the instruction of Darren Rhodes. She now holds her 500hr RYT and has been teaching since the summer of 2016.
